jME2 - Flag Rush Tutorial Series

This series will introduce you to the jME graphics engine by creating a simple (yet fully featured game). The game will start off quite simplistic and over time add just about every feature that jME offers. This tutorial series is loosely based off of the Limit Rush tutorial series from DarkBASIC.

Gameplay will be simple. You are in control of a craft, randomly in the level a “flag” will appear. The first craft to reach the flag and grab it will gain a point. After a flag is grabbed, another appears randomly. This occurs until time is up or the point limit is reached. Gameplay elements will be added as the tutorials go on to introduce other effects.

All code for this tutorial series can be found jmetest.flagrushtut.* in CVS.
